Preparing for ATF
Refuge Youth are heading to Acquire the Fire in Kansas City this weekend (Feb 19-20, 2010). I am so excited to have a large group of students AND adults traveling together -- 25 of us in all!
We will depart at 1pm on Friday from the Refuge Youth Center (919 W. Liberty) and will arrive back in Mexico around 1am Sunday morning (Saturday night).
Legacy Christian Church in Overland Park, KS will, once again be allowing us to use their church for overnight accomodations. They have been WONDERFUL to us over the years!
Things to pack for this trip include:
- BIBLE
- Stuff to sleep on (sleeping bag, pillow). You will be sleeping on the floor.
- Toiletries (toothbrush/paste, soap, towel, deo, etc). Everything you need to get yourself looking and smelling good in the morning!
- Clothes for Saturday. Comfortable and warm
- Money. You will need money for 2 traveling fast food stops (Friday and Saturday), and $10 for Saturday supper at CiCi's Pizza. $25 would be plenty. The rest of the meals will be covered by Refuge.
- Snacks. If you have a favorite snack, bring it.
A couple of other important notes:
Early Luggage Drop Off -- If you want to drop off luggage on Friday morning on way to school, simply drop it by Matt's house (email me for address). Throw it on the front porch and we'll get it loaded in the trailer for you.
